Car AC & Heating Repair

When your AC blows warm in July or your heater quits in January, you need it fixed fast. Jay's Auto Service diagnoses and repairs automotive air conditioning and heating systems on all makes and models.

We check refrigerant levels and test for leaks, then repair or replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, blend doors, blower motors and heater cores as needed. If the problem is electrical, like a failed relay, fan or control module, we find it with the right diagnostic equipment instead of guessing.

Common signs your system needs attention: air that isn't cold, weak airflow, strange smells from the vents, a heater that only blows cold, or windows that won't defog.

Serving Woodlawn, Catonsville, Ellicott City, Columbia, Pikesville and Owings Mills. Open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call 410-747-0044 or book online.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my car AC blowing warm air?

The most common causes are low refrigerant from a leak, a failing compressor or clutch, a bad cooling fan, or an electrical fault. We test the system to find the actual cause before recommending a repair.

Do I just need an AC recharge?

Refrigerant doesn't get used up. If it's low, there's a leak. We check for leaks first so you're not paying to recharge a system that will be empty again in a few weeks.

Why does my heater only blow cold air?

It's usually low coolant, a stuck thermostat, a clogged heater core or a failed blend door. We'll pinpoint which one.

How long does AC repair take?

Many AC checks and recharges are done the same day. Larger repairs depend on parts, and we'll give you a time estimate before we start.
